The Android Flood is Coming: Alex, Archos and Camangi Mini-Tablets

camangi-ebookYes, that true. We’ve found already the demonstration of Spring Design’s Alex as an eBook reader with built-in web-brower has dual screen one is eInk and other one is LCD touch screen. There are two other models we recently discovered – those are not specific to eReading like the iPhone/iPodTouch. Yes, still people are reading more on iPhone/iPodTouch even though they don’t have eInk screen. What an irony! Now it seems tablets or mini-tablets are getting popular. Archos is a mini-tablet with 5″ LCD screen with Android OS. The other device we have found recently is a 7″ Android Based “web-station” as the company calls it: Camangi. The campany is going to open their marketplace for apps. The device is not out yet. According to the company, it’ll be available in mid-December.It has an eBook app that supports EPub and TXT format.

Let’s see some videos. Here is a video you can enjoy of Archos:

  1. The cpu is called as just a bit more recent design number but it and the GPU are most likely the same speed as the 3GS. The old Contact with the same CPU and GPU as the 3G was quicker. Apart from getting the clock speed turned up greater the Touch has less software to run since it
