Unlike Amazon, Kobo has partnered with other companies to feed contents except ebooks for Vox. The company has partnered with Zinio for magazines, PressDirect for newspaper, RDIO for music, and GetJar for apps. How Can I Delete Pre-Installed eBooks on My Kobo?

Kobo comes with 100 preloaded ebooks, which you can also download for free from sites like feedbooks.com. The problem of having these books on board is that if you can’t delete any of these books. In Kobo you can’t organize books so that you can find favorite ebook easily. The FAQs on Kobo customer service website says:

I Can’t Change Font for ePub Books Downloaded from Different Sources on My Kobo. How Can I Fix this Problem?

There are two different programs that you need to download – one for Mac users, the other for PC users.

MAC users: Download a program called ePub Zip PC Users: Download a program called Free Zip For PC users, here are the steps:

  • Click on the epub file, not double-click, so that you can edit the file name
  • Change the extension from .epub to .zip.
  • Now double-click on the new zip file. It will be unzipped to a new folder.
  • Open the folder, and delete the stlyesheet.css (the .css file may be inside another folder)

Kobo VP’s Response To Some Software and User Issues Regarding Kobo

Recently, a contributor on Teleread wrote a piece – Kobo growing pains – user issues and my prescription.
