B&N going to cut NookColor 1 Price to $199
B&N is going to announce new set of NOOKcolor devices on November 7. There are speculations of multiple Nook devices to be released. While Kindle Fire will be shipped on November 15, B&N is likely to make the new Nook Color available on November 7. Even after Amazon announced Kindle Fire at a price of $199, B&N didn’t cut the NOOKcolor price to $199 to compete with Kindle Fire. A recent leaked Walmart circular shows that NOOKcolor will be available at $199 from November 5. It means NOOKcolor 1 will also be available from B&N store at $199 soon. Men For B&W, Women for Color ereaders?
According to a recent survey by GfK MRI women are 52% more likely than men to own an eReader and men are 24% more likely than women to own a Tablet. Drilling down to the brand level, women are 63% more likely than men to own an Amazon Kindle and twice as likely to own a Barnes & Noble Nook. On the other hand, the Nook Color’s ownership is now almost 75% women, according to Claudia Romanini Backus, Barnes & Noble’s director of developer relations. According to VentureBeat:

Kindle Fire Or Nook Color?
Many people are thinking of whether to buy Nook Color or Kindle Fire in the wake of Amazon’s release of a series of Kindles including Kindle Fire.
