Amazon kindle is not only for reading books but also for playing games. Don’t get it wrong. kindle is not iphone or iPodTouch; It’s mainly reading device.

Amazon didn’t open up the kindle, or not even released any SDK. Still, people are trying to find ways to port some games for kindle.

Amazon also need to understand that a closed system prevent some creative opportunities that otherwise could be enjoyed by the kindle owners. Apple had to released SDK for iphone which made iphone more valuable, usable for all. If not, amazon couldn’t release it’s kindle for iphone.
