After the recall of Pandigital Novel due to software glitches from Kohls, and JCPenny stores, some people have found in recent times the device is back in stock in Kohls brick & morter stores, not online store. I just come across the Bed Bath and Beyond online store, and have found that Novel is available for online orders at $169. There is a ongoing mail-in-rebate program is going on valid until 15th August valued at $20 for Novel. You would be able to download the rebate form from the store as well. It means the final cost will be $149. There some reports that you can use some other coupons or some sort of cards to get further discount.
After a recent software update, some Novel owners still think the ereader isn’t responsive enough to touch, and some bugs are still there. Good thing is that you hack the Novel without access to root, and install Kindle, B&N and other ereader apps on Novel to use it as a versatile ereader since it’s OS is android.
