Like Kindle, B&N have decided to open up self-publishing for Nook. It’s called PubIt. It will be available from this summer. To publish for Nook you need to open an account with B&N. There are some requirements, and it’s U.S.-only:
- A BN.com login, which you can create on the spot if you do not already have one
- Contact information for the account holder
- A U.S. Credit Card & U.S. Bank Account and all related information
- Your SSN/TIN/EIN
The format must be ePub, and you’ll be able to see your ebook on Nook emulator before submitting it. It seems all ebooks published through PubIt will be DRMed. Here you can see the FAQs regading PubIt.
