ReadWriteWeb has just run a story about cost of digital magazine subscription comparing Zinio, iTunes, and Kindle. As you can see from the following table (thanks to ReadWriteWeb), the subscription cost is far less than the others. Although the story didn’t compare the prices for same magazine across three platforms, it can still be said that Zinio offers better prices. Kno Reader: A New Kid on the Block
Osman Rashid and Babur Habib, Co-founders of Kakai, now known as Kno, came up with the idea of an ereader for students so that they can read and write on a digital format of a textbook. Steve Jobs has announced that iBook, the ebook reader application for iPad (also coming in iPhone/iPodTouch), will going to support PDF. Jeff Bezos said a new Kindle with color display screen is “some ways out.” And according to Bloomberg news amazon “plans to introduce the next version of its Kindle electronic-book reader in August…….The device will be thinner and have a more responsive screen with a sharper picture……. the new Kindle won’t include a touch screen or color”.
