Kindle 3 Lighted Cover Wouldn't Work with New Kindles
Yes, you’ve to remember that when you order a new e-ink Kindle believing that your old one would fit in the new Kindle. Jailbrake Your Kindle – Hack with Fonts, Screensavers, USB Network
Yes, it happened again. This time jail-braking works for both Kindle 2 and Kindle 3. Details have been posted on mobileread forum. In order to hack Kindle you’ve to jailbrake Kindle first. There are three hacks currently available:

Does Amazon Really Need High Profile People to Develop Apps for Kindle?
Recently, with Amazon’s hiring of Andre Vrignaud, Microsoft’s Director of Game Platform Strategy the media and bloggers have jumped on speculating what games are coming up on Kindle. Did Sony Compromise Reading By Adding Touchscreen?
You probably remember that Jeff Bezos doesn’t want a touchscreen for Kindle compromising reading, since it adds a layer on the screen that might lower the depth of letters and text on eink devices. How to Display Current Time on Kindle 3?
- When you’re on Kindle’s home page, press Alt-T, and you’ll see the current time, in numbers, in the lower-left corner.

You can always play songs by turning on the music player using he menu->experimental>music from the homescreen. However, while you’re reading an ebook there is a way to turn on music player and move to next song if you don’t like current song. Remember, Kindle doesn’t play music they way you want to. It plays music they way songs are organized in the folder.
- Use Alt-Spacebar to play or stop music
- If you’re playing a music, and want to move to a different song, then press Alt-F to go Forward to the next song in your Kindle

Staples to sell Amazon’s Kindle
(AFP) WASHINGTON — Staples will begin selling Amazon’s Kindle electronic book reader this year, making the US office supply chain the second brick-and-mortar store to offer the device.
The Kindle has been sold through Amazon’s website since it made its debut in 2007 and has been available at US retail giant Target’s stores since April.
