Useful Kindle 3 Shortcuts

  • On Home Page when ebooks are sorted by Title or Author – Press a letter key and then the 5-way to go to the first item starting with that letter.
  • When reading an ebook press left or right on 5-way to go to the beginning of the next or previous chapter.
  • In order to add/remove bookmark press Alt+B. You can also press the 5-way twice to bookmark a page.
  • Press Alt+Enter on a note or highlight to share it via Facebook or Twitter.
  • In PDF document you can pan selected area by pressing down Shift and then using 5-way controller.
  • Use Alt+Top Row of Alphabets to get numbers, like Alt+Q produces number 1, Alt+W produces number 2 etc…
  • Use Alt+Del to delete anything you’ve typed already.
  • Use Shift + Sym keys to begin Text-to-Speech. Use the Spacebar to pause/resume TTS.
  • Use Alt+Spacebar to stop or play music.
  • Use Alt+F to skip to next track.

ty, but the most important one is missing: Screen rotation!
